Summer Hill Village Vet is an independently owned, vet-run small-animal clinic in Sydney's Inner West. We pride ourselves on kind medicine, loyal clients, and a supportive, close-knit team culture. Our practice is equipped for consulting, dentistry, imaging, and medicine, with visiting specialists and experienced veterinary nurses providing strong clinical support.

The Role

We are seeking a compassionate Veterinarian to join our team on a full-time basis.

Typical shift of 38 hours per week (4 weekdays and every 2nd Saturday) with no Sundays and no after-hours.

You will provide high-quality diagnostic, medical, and dental care to small animals in a collaborative environment that values mentorship and work–life balance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Examine, diagnose, and treat small-animal patients for illness, injury, and preventative care.
  • Perform or assist with dental and surgical procedures.
  • Prescribe and administer medications and vaccinations.
  • Maintain accurate clinical and patient records.
  • Communicate clearly and empathetically with clients regarding treatment plans.
  • Contribute to mentoring of junior vets and support staff.

Skills and Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent, recognised by the Veterinary Practitioners Board of NSW.
  • Registration (or eligibility for registration) as a veterinarian in NSW.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in small-animal practice
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
