Immediate Start Available

Looking for a fresh start? Passionate about supporting people with disability? Want to join a supportive team?

About the Organisation

Ramsay Health Plus (RHP) Cairns, proudly owned by Ramsay Health Care, is a vibrant multidisciplinary allied health practice connected to Cairns Private Hospital. Conveniently located on McLeod Street, RHP has been serving the community for nearly three years, offering both clinic-based and outreach services including Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Speech Pathology, and Occupational Therapy.
We are a NDIS-registered provider, and also support privately funded clients, those accessing rehab-in-the-home, CHS programs, CDM plans, and DVA services. Our team is passionate about delivering high-quality care that makes a real difference.

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team for a 6-month fixed term, with the potential to transition into a permanent role. This opportunity has arisen due to internal extended leave and offers a chance to step into a well-established caseload of NDIS participants.
You'll work both from our McLeod Street clinic and out in the community, continuing care for existing clients while building your own caseload. If you're a versatile clinician with a strong background in Assistive Technology and/or Home Modifications, this role is tailor-made for you.

About You

You're a proactive, adaptable OT who thrives in a dynamic environment. You love learning, collaborating, and delivering exceptional disability services. You're confident working independently and as part of a team, and you're passionate about helping people live their best lives.
Your expertise in Assistive Technology and/or Home Modifications will be highly valued, and your commitment to quality care will shine through in everything you do.

Essential Criteria

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy with current AHPRA registration
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Completion of the NDIS 'Safety, Quality & You' e-learning module
  • Valid QLD Driver's Licence
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working with NDIS participants in the community
  • Access to your own vehicle and willingness to travel within a 1-hour radius of Cairns

Remuneration

$ $60.98 superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

What's in it for you?

  • Professional Advancement: Recognition, Rewards, Professional Development, and Employee referral programs. Free access to LinkedIn Learning, education scholarships and the Ramsay Leadership Academy to support career progression.
  • Discounts: Hospital, Allied Health & Pharmacy discounts - you'll pay less for hospital cover and receive higher extras limits for things like General and Major Dental.
  • Health and Wellbeing: Flexible work opportunities with the ability to have a say in your roster, Flexible Leave Program, and a free Employee Assistance Program offering access to confidential counselling, coaching and support.
  • Leisure/Social/Financial: Discounts for leisure travel with selected Hotels, salary sacrifice opportunities e.g., airport lounge membership, self-education expenses, novated leasing and more.
  • Admin Support: Our Practice Manager handles scheduling, agreements, and billing—so you can focus on care

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
  • According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
