English Teacher (Years 7–12) – Term 1, 2026 Start

An exciting opportunity exists for a passionate and skilled English teacher to join a leading independent school in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs. You'll be teaching Years 7–12 across a well-resourced and supportive department, with the chance to inspire students in literature, language, and critical thinking.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold relevant teaching qualifications and NESA accreditation
    (or be eligible in NSW).
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management and a commitment to student wellbeing.
  • Bring creativity, collaboration, and enthusiasm
    for delivering engaging English programs.
  • Experience in teaching English to years 7-12
    including delivering the HSC curriculum.
  • Passion for literature and language
    – inspires students through a love of texts, writing, and critical analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum and assessment
    – demonstrates expertise in Stage 4–6 English, including HSC preparation.
  • Creativity in lesson design
    – develops engaging and innovative approaches to teaching English that foster deep student engagement and independent thinking.

This is a full-time, permanent role
commencing in Term 1, 2026.
