About the role
We're looking for a Production Team Leader to help steer the smooth day-to-day running of our print operations in Tamworth. You'll be the go-to person for leading the print room team, maintaining print performance, and ensuring everything from SLAs to Health & Safety is spot-on.
In this role, you'll be on the shop floor supporting your team, working closely with maintenance to keep everything running smoothly, and stepping up during busy periods to make sure we deliver for our customers. Key Responsibilities:- Lead, coach, and support print room operators, ensuring high performance and team engagement.
- Liaise with Shift Managers to prioritise tasks and allocate resources across shifts.
- Manage stock, consumables, and print room materials, ensuring timely reordering.
- Escalate and follow up on any technical issues with the Maintenance Technician – Print.
- Keep the print room safe, clean, and organised at all times.
- Oversee equipment checks (SOS and EOS) and assist in coordinating preventative maintenance.
- Maintain detailed records of incidents, handovers, and shift activity.
- Support training, onboarding, and continuous improvement across the team.
- Experience leading teams in a fast-paced production or operational setting.
- Solid understanding of digital print equipment (e.g. HP presses, Kerns, finishing equipment).
- Great organisational and communication skills, with a hands-on mindset.
- Confident in managing staffing levels and rotas, especially during peak periods.
- Committed to maintaining high safety, quality, and cleanliness standards.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with ops, maintenance, and supply chain teams.
- Enthusiastic about driving continuous improvement and team development.
