Job Description
NCS Australia is seeking a highly skilled Lead System Analyst to join our team in Canberra. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong background in systems analysis and technical advisory within complex ICT environments.
As a Lead System Analyst, you will be responsible for translating complex business requirements into effective technical solutions that align with system architecture. You will provide expert guidance on system design, implementation, and issue resolution, while ensuring clear communication between technical teams and stakeholders. Key responsibilities include authoring detailed user specifications, analysing production problems and test defects, and offering strategic advice on system functions, risks, and performance.
You will also mentor junior staff, contribute to cost estimations for proposed work, and participate in peer reviews to uphold quality standards. This role requires a proactive approach, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to operate effectively in dynamic and fast-paced environments.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years' experience in a complex ICT environment, preferably with Model 204.
- Proven ability to provide high-level guidance and support on ICT changes and issues.
- Experience working within large organisations of significant scale and complexity.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business requirements and develop effective system solutions.
- Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, including Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to liaise and negotiate with stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure timely project delivery.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and engaging with senior executive staff.
