Alcyone Hotel Residences is a highly successful 4.5 star, 228 room, 16 level Apartment Hotel within the Portside Wharf precinct of Hamilton. Alcyone Hotel Residences features One and Two Bedroom Apartments with a fully equipped recreational deck (gym, pool and outdoor barbecue areas).

We are seeking Full Time & Part Time Guest Service Agentsto join our vibrant growing team These are exciting opportunities to join a rapidly growing brand with great career opportunities and we are focused on developing and growing our people.

This position is a varied role that includes, however is certainly not limited to:

  • Attending to guest requests within a timely yet efficient manner
  • Check-in/Check-out of guests
  • Maintaining inhouse accounts
  • Acting as a concierge to both leisure & corporate guests
  • Assisting the reservations department in responding to accommodation enquiries with a high conversion rate
  • Ensuring smooth daily running of the Front Office whilst completing daily tasks/duties
  • Being the central point of contact to all guests yet to arrive, in house or departed
  • Qualifying & passing on sales lead to Sales & Marketing Department

About you…

  • Available across a 7-day rotating roster between the hours of 6am-10pm (with ad-hoc scheduling from 10pm-6am).
  • Previous experience within a hotel front office environment (not mandatory, just preferred).
  • Passionate about customer service & hospitality accommodation industry
  • Experience within a management rights hotel & use of RMS 9+ would be a highly advantageous
  • Strong communicator
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism
  • Confident in inbound telephone sales
  • Impeccable grooming standards
