HD Mechanic / Field Service

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced HD Mechanic / Field Service Technician with Cummins diesel engine experience to join our team in Maddington, WA. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our heavy-duty power generation equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimising downtime across our operations.

What you'll be doing

  • Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on a wide range of Cummins generators
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues to identify and resolve problems
  • Conducting inspections, servicing, and repairs on site and in the workshop
  • Work involves an equal split between field service and workshop-based repairs

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a heavy diesel mechanic in the power generation, mining or construction industry
  • Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience with the maintenance and repair of Cummins generators
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on safety and quality
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Relevant trade qualifications or certifications
  • Australian citizenship is required for this position
