About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented NDIS Cleaner to deliver high-quality cleaning services to a client living with a disability under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). The role involves working in a small private apartment and ensuring a clean, safe, and hygienic environment that supports the client's well-being and independence.

This site requires extra mindfulness around needles, with proper disposal measures already in place.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general cleaning duties, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces.
  • Clean bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms, and living areas as required.
  • Handle cleaning chemicals safely and in accordance with company procedures.
  • Follow a personalised cleaning plan based on the client's needs and preferences.
  • Respect the client's privacy, dignity, and cultural values at all times.
  • Communicate clearly with the client, support workers, and supervisors.
  • Report any safety hazards, incidents, or changes in the client's condition.
  • Maintain accurate records, such as timesheets and service logs.

  • Cleaning required in a small apartment

  • Shift Length: Minimum 3 hours

Requirements

  • Experience in domestic or commercial cleaning (NDIS experience preferred).
  • Must bring your own cleaning equipment to every shift.
  • Knowledge of safe cleaning practices and infection control.
  • Current National Police Check.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Working with Children Check.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
  • Clear communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be comfortable working in an environment where needles may be present.

Desirable

  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Previous experience supporting people with a disability.
  • Understanding of NDIS and person-centred care principles.
  • Aussie accent preferred for smoother communication with the client.
