We're currently seeking a Cleaning & Sanitation Team Member to join our team at Foodfolk Australia. This role plays an essential part in maintaining our high standards of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and HACCP compliance, ensuring food safety, hygiene, and overall operational excellence.

About the Role:

As a Cleaning & Sanitation Team Member, you'll be responsible for keeping our production and operational areas clean, safe, and audit-ready. You'll follow set cleaning schedules, use approved chemicals safely, and take pride in maintaining Foodfolk's high hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities:

  • Performing daily, weekly, and periodic cleaning routines across the site.
  • Safely using approved detergents and sanitisers following MSDS and manufacturer instructions.
  • Supporting allergen management and sanitation practices to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Monitoring hygiene and sanitation across production, storage, amenities, and surrounding areas.
  • Recording cleaning activities and assisting with internal audits to maintain GMP and HACCP standards.

Area-specific cleaning tasks include:

  • Amenities: Daily cleaning of surfaces, floors, and toilets as per the roster.
  • Operations: Equipment and machinery cleaning; waste removal.
  • Shelving: Weekly cleaning with detergent, sanitising, and air-drying.
  • Chillers/Freezers: Dry cleaning daily or weekly.
  • Dry Goods & Receival Areas: Sweep daily; remove goods for full clean as required.
  • Warehouse & Grounds: Immediate clean-up of spills; ensure waste is segregated correctly.

Requirements:

  • Previous cleaning or food manufacturing experience.
  • A solid understanding of GMP and HACCP standards.
  • Ability to follow procedures carefully and maintain high hygiene standards.
  • Reliability, attention to detail, and a safety-first mindset.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.
  • Flexibility to work either of the two casual shifts: 6:00am–2:00pm or 11:00am–7:00pm.

Working Hours:

This role operates daily across two shifts:

6:00am – 2:00pm

11:00am – 7:00pm
