Cooper Grace Ward is well-known for the work it does for professional advisers, particularly advisors in the accounting, financial, legal, property and construction fields.

Off the back of considerable growth, an opportunity has come up at Cooper Grace Ward for a Senior Associate with outstanding experience and credentials in the professional indemnity and commercial litigation space.

The Role

The role would be focused on running and assisting with litigation with a professional liability element, including complex claims, but may also involve advice on policy coverage, regulatory requirements, and risk work. The role would sit within Cooper Grace Ward's market leading litigation and dispute resolution practice, headed by Rocco Russo. The successful candidate must also be well equipped to run professional indemnity matters but also general commercial litigation particularly with a corporate, commercial, regulatory and business subject matter.

The role presents a unique opportunity for the right candidate to help run and grow a professional indemnity practice within a premium and highly respected commercial law firm.

About You

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Outstanding experience and credentials in the relevant practice areas
  • Very strong technical credentials and ability
  • Excellent written communication skills including the ability to write complex and technical advice
  • Ability to manage a varied case load
  • Ability to quickly assimilate new information and problem-solve complex legal issues
  • Sound judgement and commercial acumen
  • A proactive, innovative and energetic approach
  • The ability to work well as part of a close-knit team.
