About the opportunity
This role is ideal for a mission-driven professional who thrives in collaborative environments and is passionate about the future of education. You will design and deliver capability development programs, create resources, and provide expert guidance to academic staff. With a focus on innovation, inclusion, and continuous improvement, you will help shape the University's learning and teaching landscape. Reporting to the Director Academic Capability, you will work across campuses and disciplines, engaging with diverse stakeholders to foster a culture of pedagogical excellence and digital innovation.
What you'll do:
- Lead the design and delivery of capability development focused on online education and emerging technologies.
- Develop, implement and evaluate resources and modules that support inclusive and innovative digitally enhanced teaching practices.
- Collaborate with academic units to identify and address capability gaps.
- Build and maintain knowledge of good practice and innovation in learning and teaching and capability development.
- Collaborate with Division colleagues and build strong relationships across the University.
What we're looking for:
- A relevant degree with experience in capability development or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education.
- Expertise in online education design and emerging technologies. A proven ability to deliver programs that build academic capability.
- Strong understanding of inclusive education principles and universal design for learning.
- A team player with ability to manage competing priorities, engage and influence diverse stakeholders, and proactively support academic development.
Salary details
Appointment to this role will be at HEO 8 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $152,033 comprising base salary within the range of $114,282 to $129,943 plus 17% superannuation.
