Your Opportunity

As the Teacher Aide, you will:

Contribute to the provision of a quality educational service by assisting and supporting teachers with the preparation and enhancement of learning materials and associated activities.

The Teacher Aide reports to the Principal or nominated delegate as appropriate. The reporting relationship to teachers may be changed by the Principal on a regular basis to fulfil specific needs within the school. When supporting students with specific health procedures, a Teacher Aide will be under the direct or indirect supervision of a registered nurse or medical practitioner.

Your Responsibilities

We currently have two part-time positions available:

One permanent part-time position at 30 hours per week (0.79FTE)
One temporary part-time position at 24 hours per week, available until 12 December 2025, unless otherwise determined (0.63FTE)

As the Teacher Aide, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

You need to be able to think on your feet and have a solid understanding of the inclusive education policy for EQ.
You need to be able to follow explicit programs working within small groups and individual settings.
You will work with students who have complex behaviour needs and require extensive support within the learning environment.
You will be required to support with the preparation and enhancement of learning materials and associated activities that will be used within the classroom setting.
