OMI Chadstone, a premium Japanese fusion restaurant renowned for its award-winning wagyu rice bowls, is seeking a talented and experienced Full-Time Chef to lead our kitchen operations.

As a key member of our culinary leadership team, you will be responsible for the design and development of innovative menus, maintaining high standards of food quality, and overseeing daily kitchen management. This role requires creativity, strong leadership, and a deep understanding of Japanese cuisine with a modern twist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, test, and implement seasonal and signature menus that align with OMI's brand and customer preferences.

  • Manage all aspects of kitchen operations, including workflow, staff supervision, and inventory control.

  • Lead and mentor kitchen staff to ensure consistency, efficiency, and a positive team culture.

  • Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.

  • Monitor food cost and wastage, ensuring efficient use of resources and compliance with budget targets.

  • Collaborate with management to drive innovation and elevate the dining experience.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience as a chef in a high-volume restaurant environment.

  • Strong background in Japanese or Asian fusion cuisine is highly desirable.

  • Demonstrated skills in menu development and kitchen leadership.

  • Ability to thrive under pressure and maintain consistency during peak service.

  • Excellent communication and team coordination abilities.

  • Food Safety Supervisor certification preferred.
