Bundaberg Swimming Academy is looking for enthusiastic and safety-focused Lifeguards to join our team. Whether you are an experienced lifeguard or new to the industry, we can assist you in gaining the necessary qualifications to get started.

About the Role

Lifeguards play a vital role in maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons. This position involves monitoring pool areas, enforcing safety rules, providing first aid when required, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise pool users to ensure a safe aquatic environment
• Monitor and enforce pool safety rules and regulations
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies and incidents
• Conduct regular pool and facility checks
• Provide basic customer service and assist with patron enquiries
• Support general pool operations and maintenance as required

Skills and Experience

• Strong swimming ability and water confidence
• Excellent observation and communication skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively in emergencies
• Current Pool Lifeguard qualification (desirable but not essential – training can be provided)
• Current First Aid and CPR certifications (or willingness to obtain)
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and during school holidays
