About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Nightshift Gatehouse Operator to join our team at the Forrestfield Intermodal Terminal. This is a permanent, full-time position operating Monday to Friday on night shift.

As a Gatehouse Operator, you will be the first point of contact for drivers and visitors entering the terminal during night operations. You will play a key role in managing truck and train movements, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring smooth coordination between yard operations and customer service.

You will need the ability to:

• Control inbound and outbound container movements using multiple logistics systems.
• Accurately record and input data into operating platforms.
• Maintain all required documentation with precision.
• Manage truck and train movements within the yard.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service during night shift operations.
• Answer and direct telephone calls and correspondence efficiently.
• Work independently and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

What You Will Bring

• Strong attention to detail and clear communication skills (especially over 2-way radio).
• Ability to work unsupervised and remain proactive.
• High computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience using logistics systems such as 1-Stop, Container Chain, and CATSYS.
• A safety-focused mindset and good problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability to dynamic work environments.
