Bielby is expanding into New South Wales and we're looking for an influential Lead Estimator. This isn't just another role; it's a once-in-a-career opportunity to establish, shape, and grow a function from scratch within a new business, backed by a contractor with 40+ years of delivery success across roads, rail, renewables, and more.

You will be empowered to grow and oversee our NSW estimating unit from establishment, taking direct accountability for bids on a diverse portfolio of major projects. This role is ideal for a candidate who wants to leverage their strategic and technical expertise to cultivate key client relationships and secure new civil infrastructure projects, directly shaping the future of our business in this new market.

What you'll do

  • Win and deliver major civil infrastructure projects.
  • Drive innovation in estimating practices through post-project reviews and the implementation of new processes.
  • Develop strong, lasting client relationships.
  • Develop pricing strategies, drive pre-tender planning sessions, and contribute to overall bid strategy.

What you'll bring

  • 15+ years in civil construction estimating roles across large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Proven ability to win work, lead teams, and deliver results.
  • The vision and initiative to develop robust estimating strategies.
  • Drive innovation in estimating practices through post-project reviews and the implementation of new processes.
