Glass Cutter

About the Role

We're on the lookout for a hands-on and detail-focused Glass Cutter to join our team in the Glass Section at Genneral Staircase. In this role, you'll be responsible for accurately cutting and preparing glass panels that form an integral part of our staircases. You'll work closely with the Production Team to ensure each job meets our high quality and safety standards, on time, every time.

What You'll Be Doing

• Cut and shape glass to precise measurements using both manual tools and CNC machines
• Read job sheets, drawings, and templates to ensure accurate cuts
• Finish glass edges through polishing and other processing techniques
• Handle and move glass safely, keeping waste and breakage to a minimum
• Operate, maintain, and clean cutting equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Conduct visual quality checks on finished glass pieces
• Support inventory tracking and storage of glass materials
• Follow WHS procedures, including proper manual handling and wearing PPE

What You'll Bring

• 1–3 years' experience as a Glass Cutter or in a similar production role
• Comfortable using CNC machines and glass-cutting hand tools
• Strong eye for detail and confidence working with precise measurements
• Physically capable of handling glass and lifting up to 25kg
• A safety-first mindset and basic knowledge of WHS practices
• A forklift license is a bonus (not essential)
