Daher announces recruitment is now open for our next highly sought after Aviation Sheet Metal Mechanic Trainee class.

Daher Aerospace, family owned and operated in 13 countries with a rich history dating back to 1863, is seeking mechanically inclined individuals for our next Sheet Metal Mechanic Entry Level Class beginning on/around October 6, This is an exciting opportunity for on-the-job training that can start you on an exciting career path in aviation manufacturing

As a Daher employee you will participate in our comprehensive 6-week training program, with in class and hands on training, be assigned a mentor, and upon successful completion, earn your Level One Sheet Metal Mechanic rank.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain, modify, and install aircraft sheet metal and composite components.
• Fabricate and rework complex structural assemblies.
• Use precision measuring devices to ensure quality standards.
• Perform inspections and maintain accurate work records.
• Work from engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications.

Basic Skills and Requirements:

• Mechanical experience including drills, pneumatic tools, and hand tools and must be able to demonstrate comfort level using them.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
• Ability to work 1st and/or 2nd shift upon completion of class.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift/move up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Frequent use of hands for various tasks.
• Standing, walking, reaching, and stooping regularly.
• Maintain steady hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to reach in all directions and in potentially awkward positions.
• Effective communication skills and ability to hear.
