Estimator - TI PR SA

Are you an experienced civil construction estimator looking to make a real impact in a dynamic and supportive team? Downer is seeking a skilled Estimator to join our South Australian Projects team, where you'll play a key role in delivering accurate and timely estimates that drive successful project outcomes.

About the role

As an Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing civil construction estimates in line with business and company standards. You'll work closely with senior management, project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure our bids are competitive, compliant, and aligned with strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review civil construction estimates and tender submissions
• Analyse project performance to refine future proposals
• Maintain and develop estimating packages and databases
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and subcontractors to ensure value for money
• Support project planning, budgeting, and reporting
• Promote and uphold Downer's Zero Harm safety culture
• Engage with clients to understand needs and exceed expectations

What you'll bring

• Proven experience in civil construction estimating
• Exposure to tender preparation, quantity take-offs, and site scoping
• Strong understanding of engineering, planning, and scheduling
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Expert Estimation software desirable
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Motivated, team-focused, and committed to continuous improvement
