Flour Child Cocktail Bar & Pizzeria, opened its doors late 2019 and has been killing it ever since. As a result, we have a second venue opened to Melbourne's inner city (east).
The Flour Child brand heroes the iconic Pinsa Romana pizzas and our unique cocktail bar. Our venues are carefully curated to deliver an unparalleled customer experience that resonates with a wide variety of people after differing demands.
Just like our signature Pinsa bases, our culture is what sets us apart. We are a team of real people, who love what we do and have a good time doing it. We work hard, play hard and have a no bullsh*t approach to how we do business.
We are on the hunt for a Head Chef to join the leadership team. These is full-time role which will be based in our St Kilda new venue.
What you'll do:
- Oversee kitchen operations in peak periods and services, in the absence of the executive chef.
- Monitor and adhere to high levels of food presentation and styling
- Manage and control stock and ordering as well as wastage
- Train, coach and mentor kitchen team members
- Maintain the presentation, cleanliness and hygiene standards BOH
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards
What you'll have:
- Experience in kitchens, running services, either in a QSR or causal dining
- Availability to work rotating roster of weekdays, weeknights and weekends
- Remain calm and effective during high pressure services
- A genuine passion and care for delighting customers
- A team player with an upbeat attitude and positive energy
