About the role:

We're on the lookout for a vibrant Assistant Café Manager to help run our purpose-driven café that is all about good food, great coffee, and even better impact. You'll lead the team, create a welcoming atmosphere, and support women from vulnerable backgrounds to gain real-world skills—all while helping the café thrive as a business.

  • Based in Mt Gravatt
  • Saturday + Sunday + one weekday
  • 3 days/week – part-time
  • Social enterprise café changing lives, one coffee at a time

What You'll Be Doing (Besides Brewing Great Coffee)

  • Running the floor like a pro and making every customer feel at home
  • Coaching, mentoring and uplifting women building confidence and skills
  • Leading front-of-house and kitchen operations for smooth, high-quality service
  • Taking the reins on weekends and supporting the Café Manager during the week
  • Driving daily sales through great service, upselling, and community engagement
  • Helping promote the café to attract more customers
  • Monitoring budgets, stock and performance metrics to keep the café thriving
  • Creating a warm, inclusive space where everyone feels welcome

You'll Love This Role If You:

  • Have 5+ years in hospitality or café management
  • Have a sharp eye for detail and a love of excellent customer service
  • Can confidently lead a team and inspire others
  • Care deeply about empowering women and supporting community
  • Are keen to grow the café's reach, revenue, and impact
  • Can work Saturdays, Sundays and one weekday (we'll choose it together)

Bonus points if you have:

  • Cert III/IV in Hospitality, Leadership or Business
  • A Food Safety Supervisor Cert
  • Experience with local promotions, social media marketing or growing a small
  • business
