Background
Hopscotch OT was established in 2014. We work with children and their families both in our clinic in Hampton and in schools in surrounding areas. We are conveniently situated right on Hampton Street surrounded by shops and cafes.
Hopscotch OT has a special interest in helping children and their families with; Developmental Coordination Disorder, Specific Learning Disorders, ADHD, Autism, sensory processing, emotional regulation, school readiness and motor coordination challenges. We have a strong focus on providing evidence based occupational therapy interventions and a commitment to providing exceptional services. The role involves working closely with parents, teachers and other professionals to best understand the child's needs, strengths and strategies to support the child.

12 month clinical induction with allocated training time so that you can develop confidence and excel in your role.
Weekly 1:1 supervision and peer mentoring for your first 12 months
Internal and external professional development opportunities (paid PD courses and paid time off to attend)
-Ability to work along side other OT's providing a great collaborative environment with day to day support
-Maximum of 5 client sessions per day (4 for new graduates)
-Experience in supporting new graduates and those changing clinical areas. New graduates are welcome to join our team as a OT assistant prior to receiving registration.
-Flexible working hours (we work with you to develop the right work hours to suit your lifestyle and work from home for admin hours if preferred)
-Purpose built clinic space with a great range of assessments, equipment and resources.
-Clinic based role with minimal travel. We have long standing relationships with schools so that when you provide services to a school you are based at the school for a day or half a day.
-Administration support and great IT systems so that you can be efficient and productive in the role.
-Clear career progression into senior roles.

-Competitive salary, early career OT's can earn 70-85K + super, more experienced OT's can earn 86k-100K + super.
Selection Criteria
Essential
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work efficiently and meet targets
Proficient at using technology and IT systems
Motivated individual with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
An open communicator that can effectively communicate with a variety of stakeholders
Desired
An OT passionate about providing family-centred and evidence based interventions
An enthusiastic team member who enjoys learning and working together as a clinical team to provide an exceptional service.
Warm personality with a strong ability to engage children and families effectively
Qualification & Other Requirements
Right to work in Australia
Current Full Registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (AHPRA)
Current Working With Children Check
Drivers licence and own vehicle
