Commercial / Strata Lawyer

About the role

The successful candidate will be proactive and have an adaptable attitude with a commercial focus on litigation, building and construction and/or property law experience, preferably with 3 to 7 years PQE looking for the opportunity to develop within a boutique practice.

The position will require someone who is able to critically analyse legal matters with a common sense approach. You will be outcome focused by meeting deadlines and proactive in your approach.

Tasks and responsibilities

The opportunity exists to work in such diverse areas as:

• Contracts
• Mergers and acquisitions
• Strata law
• Business sales and purchases
• Residential and commercial property development
• Commercial Disputes
• Building and Construction Law
• Corporation matters

And will be required to:

• Provide advices across a number of business law areas
• Act in strata law front and back end matters
• Draft and review contracts of all kinds
• Act for both sellers and buyers of businesses
• Act for and advise property developers in acquisitions
• Deal with clients directly and assist in developing relationships with those clients

Essential qualities

• 3 -7 years post admission experience.
• Proactive, Passionate and results driven
• Attention to detail, organised and able to deal within a high volume work environment
• Excellent communication skills.
• Team player and client focused

The successful candidate will have commercial acumen with the personality and drive to introduce new clients, and manage existing client relationships. They will be passionate about servicing clients and driven by results to meet client expectations within a high volume commercial environment.
