You will also provide authoritative advice to senior executives, the Under Treasurer, and Shareholding Ministers on achieving reliable and affordable energy supply for Queensland's future.

In this role, you will:
- Lead the development and implementation of energy strategies, programs, and regulatory frameworks that drive productivity, sustainability, and innovation.
- Deliver high-level advice, analysis, and guidance on government policy initiatives, focusing on sustainable energy supply as well as overseeing the critical role of gas and industry in energy and economic decision-making.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, industry representatives, and community groups.
- Represent the Queensland Government and Treasury in critical forums, ensuring outcomes align with energy-sector goals and government objectives.
- Provide strategic oversight and advice on the management of GOCs across energy, water, transport, and financial sectors to enable government priorities.
What experience you will bring:
- You understand the complexities of policy, regulatory, and commercial challenges within the energy sector and have led transformative initiatives that make a tangible impact.
- You have significant executive-level experience in energy, GOCs, government, or a related industry, with a strong track record of delivering strategic outcomes.

- Your judgement is sound, your integrity is unwavering, and you thrive in high pressure environments, demonstrating exceptional adaptability and a strong drive to succeed.
- You excel at building relationships and consensus, using your exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with stakeholders across all sectors.
