We provide a unique two-to-three-year program for young people in Years 10 to 12 designed to progressively develop employability skills and achieve individualized learning goals while meeting the requirements of the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) and the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA).

Our aim is to seamlessly blend senior education and vocational training to engage young people in purposeful learning experiences that are relevant to the real world of industry.

About the Role

Reporting to the Director of Education, we have a fabulous opportunity for an Education Support Administrator to play a key role in the smooth and efficient functioning of the Education Division as we continue to elevate and evolve to meet the needs of our young people and Industry partners.

This role will see you providing high level support that enables the Director of Education to operate efficiently and productively and clearing the way so they can focus on strategic responsibilities.

Key to your success will be your ability to anticipate needs, manage complexity, and bring order to fast moving days to make a tangible impact. Proactive and forward thinking, you see the bigger picture and have the confidence and resilience under pressure to manage competing priorities and effectively liaise with senior stakeholders.

Key functions include:

• Providing comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the Director of Education.
• Ensuring the Director of Education is prepared and informed on relevant matters in a timely manner.
• Maintaining office systems to enable the Education team to operate efficiently and effectively.
• Managing the Director of Education's calendar and emails ensuring important matters are dealt with promptly.
• Exercising initiative and judgement with the preparation, collation, and dissemination of information and documents.
• Handling confidential and privileged information in confidence, exercising diplomacy and discretion.
• Proactively building and maintaining good relationships across the organisation to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
• Developing and maintaining best practice document and records management systems for the Education office.
• Managing Education Office led events and travel arrangements for the Director of Education and Education Office.
• Traveling to and working from our school sites across Southeast Queensland and Head Office locations as needed.
• Partnering with the Executive Assistant and other members of the Governance team to ensure efficient alignment with all Executive team activities and commitments.

• Strong interpersonal, relationship and stakeholder management skills.
• Collaborative approach and positive, helpful attitude.
• Ability to travel to our schools and sites, including some instances where overnight stays are required.
• Ability to demonstrate The Industry School values.
• Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
• Valid driver licence and right to work in Australia.

Desirable

• Certificate or Diploma qualifications in relevant discipline.
• Administration, Receptionist or experience providing executive support.
• Previous experience in a schooling environment.
