The Position:
We are currently looking for our next legend - a Project Engineer. This role is ideal for someone with anywhere from a few months of post-graduate experience through to around 5 years.
You'll be part of our Operations Department and report to a Senior Project Manager, working closely with our experienced engineers and project managers. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting and supporting with project management;
- Creating, setting up, and administering projects within Procore, ensuring all project details are accurately recorded and updated;
- Developing and monitoring project timelines and construction programs;
- Project travel and accommodation arrangements;
- Project procurement. This includes obtaining supplier quotations, managing purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of services and materials, receipting invoices, and allocating costs;
- Maintaining up-to-date project safety and quality compliance documentation;
- Monitoring project budgets, including income and expenditure;
- Communicating with clients to ensure contractual obligations are met;
- Providing technical advice to relevant stakeholders;
- Preparing and distributing regular project reports and updates to stakeholders.
About You:
We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, proactive, and ready to grow with us. You'll bring:
- A tertiary qualification in engineering, preferably civil engineering;
- Between a few months and up to 5 years' experience in a civil construction project environment;
- Working knowledge of MS Office and project management software, including Microsoft Project. Knowledge of Procore would be an advantage;
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while ensuring deadlines are met;
- Communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders;
- Ability to foresee project challenges and proactively suggest solutions;
- A passion for mountain biking and an understanding of the industry.
