The Opportunity

The Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Monash University is seeking a dynamic and innovative academic to join our growing team as a Senior Lecturer.

We are looking for a colleague with a strong research track record, a passion for teaching, and a collaborative spirit to help drive the continued success of our department.

About the Role

As a Level C academic, you will:

  • Deliver undergraduate and/or Master's coursework and contribute to curriculum design.
  • Conduct high-quality, independent research in chemical and/or biological engineering.
  • Supervise Honours and postgraduate research students.

    Foster an inclusive and supportive academic environment.
Research Focus

We welcome applicants in all areas of chemical and biological engineering, particularly:

  • Catalysis
  • Biochemicals and biofuels

    Biomedicine and therapeutics
  • Sustainable energy technologies

Research with strong translational potential and/or use of facilities such as the ANSTO/Monash Advanced Characterisation Platforms will be highly regarded.

Who We're Looking For

You will have:

  • A PhD in Chemical, Biological, or a related Engineering discipline.
  • A strong record of impactful research and scholarly publications.
  • Experience in unit coordination and teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.
  • A commitment to inclusive, student-centred education.
  • Fresh ideas that enhance both research and teaching within the department.
