About the Role As a Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of high-speed production equipment through preventative maintenance, breakdown support, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on production and packaging equipment
- Respond promptly to mechanical breakdowns to minimise downtime
- Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs across a range of machinery
- Work closely with production teams to ensure machinery operates at optimal efficiency
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow site safety procedures
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects and plant upgrades
About You
- Trade-qualified Maintenance Fitter (Cert III Engineering – Mechanical Trade)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role within an FMCG or food manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with conveyors, pneumatics, pumps, mixers, and high-speed packaging machinery
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong focus on safety and quality standards
