We are partnering with a well-established, industry leading, national organisation in the Food Services sector to appoint an experienced and capable Assistant State Manager - NSW. This is a newly created, key leadership role supporting state-wide operations across NSW, ACT and Newcastle, and offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to organisational performance, service delivery and people leadership.
The Opportunity
Working closely with the State Manager - NSW, you will provide support across all operational, people and commercial functions. The role carries broad responsibility, including oversight of service performance, operational efficiency, customer experience, compliance and workforce capability.
You will bring a confident, approachable and composed leadership style, capable of building strong internal relationships and ensuring consistent standards across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the leadership of all state operations, including logistics, fleet, customer service and administrative functions
- Ensure delivery, collection and service requirements are executed efficiently and to agreed standards
- Review operational processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Support customer engagement, issue resolution and service quality outcomes
- Assist in the development and coaching of state-based teams, including recruitment and performance management
- Uphold safety, compliance and accreditation requirements across all sites
- Contribute to financial oversight, reporting, stock management and weekly operational updates
- Provide structured support to the State Manager and act as a key point of leadership across the state
About You
You will be an experienced operational leader (or 2IC) with exposure to Food Services, FMCG, logistics, manufacturing or a similar sector. You will also bring:
- Demonstrated experience leading diverse teams across blue- and white-collar environments
- Strong communication, relationship management and stakeholder engagement capability
- A measured and diplomatic leadership style with the ability to influence and support others
- High levels of organisational discipline, with the ability to manage competing priorities
- A commitment to safety, quality and operational excellence
- Confidence operating in a dynamic environment with a strong focus on timely execution
