Machinist

Caboolture Engineering require a skilled Machinist to operate manual lathes as well as turning and milling machines.

Work varies from day to day with no mass production.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

• recognised Australian trade qualification
• ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• applicants will require extensive experience turning, milling and fitting
• minimum 2-3 years of machining experience required
• proficiency in manual machining
• you will be required to operate lathes from 400 swing x 1.5m centres up to 1100mm swing x 5m centres and milling machines from turret mills to 6m bed mill
• attention to detail and accuracy required
• you must have your own hand tools suitable for fitting and machining
• ability to work independently and as part of a team
• welding skill highly regarded
• Driver's Licence and own transport are essential
• Australian work authorisation required
