What does the job look like?

Linfox's Intermodal business unit currently have multiple opportunities for experienced HC drivers to join our team in Mackay,QLD. This is a permanent full time position on day shift, working Monday - Friday from 5:00am - 1:00pm + rotating Saturdays.You will be responsible for local deliveries and hand unloads with various freight from our major customers both locally & regionally.  Key areas:

  • Deliver freight both locally and throughout the region
  • Daily prestart checks, including refuelling & maintaining truck interior
  • Ensure loads are restrained appropriately
  • Completing hand unloads
  • Communicate effectively with other drivers, supervisors & customers where needed
  • Comply with Linfox's coupling & uncoupling procedures
  • Commit to Linfox Safety Standards at all times to ensure that Vision Zero is a daily focus

  • Open HC licence
  • Forklift license - preferred but not essential 
  • Experience delivering containerised freight throughout the Melbourne region and beyond
  • Strong attitude towards safety and customer satisfaction
  • History of safe work practices & excellent communication
  • Rail experience highly regarded but not essential
