About the role

An exciting, newly-created, business-critical role with a global, industry-leading Insurance organisation currently exists in order to fill a key role in their leadership team. This Commercial Finance Business Partner position will help provide insightful analysis into key performance trends that exist in order to drive the positive financial direction of the company. The responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for:

  • Lead business partnering, performance management, planning, and decision support for the team while spearheading strategic projects enterprise-wide
  • Use your analytical mindset and financial expertise to enhance

    business performance, provide actionable insights, and provide a fresh perspective.
  • Assist in leading the Commercial Finance team to drive function performance with P&L ownership and management reporting.
  • Business partner with divisions and build strong relationships with key

    stakeholders
  • Drive underwriting profitability analysis by product line, segment, and channel
  • Manage and develop two high-performing direct reports
  • Support reinsurance and capital planning initiatives through robust financial modelling
  • Lead the end-to-end forecasting and annual budgeting process, long-term strategic planning and provide advice on risks & opportunities.
  • Support decision making through financial modelling, insights and analysis of key performance drivers.
  • Drive continuous process improvement, automation and implement bestpractices.

The successful applicant will have

Ideally, you will be a CA/CPA qualified accounting professional and will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as your ability to interact and engage cross functionally within the business will be crucial to your success. Additionally, you will have a strong attention to detail, enjoy collaboration and have had extensive experience within a large & complex working environment. Furthermore, you will have extensive and proven experience working within the Insurance sector as this is seen as essential.
