School Swimming Workforce Planning and Compliance Officer

  • Temporary Full-Time for 18 months with the possibility of extension

  • Map workforce needs and place teachers across NSW
  • Set rosters and balance workloads and coverage
  • Maintain compliance with departmental policy and aquatics standards
  • Track performance; prepare reports and advice
  • Handle complex enquiries and escalate when needed
  • Align delivery with equity, rural/remote and the Disability Strategy
  • Work with councils, venues and industry partners

Join the School Sport Unit in Teaching, Learning and Student Wellbeing.

The School Swimming Workforce Planning and Compliance Officer coordinates the School Swimming and Water Safety Program's compliance with departmental policies and procedures and aquatics industry standards, monitors education industrial relations and award conditions, and coordinates the placement of staff across NSW.

About you –

  • Know aquatics standards for school-aged children and staff
  • Write clear briefs, reports and recommendations
  • Juggle priorities; meet tight deadlines
  • Build and refine admin systems that lift efficiency
  • Have knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Essential requirements of the role

  • Paid Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • Valid NSW driver licence
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
