About the practice

  • We are a family owned independent optometry practice that is well regarded and located in the inner West of Brisbane.
  • We provide high quality professional advice and specialise in individual glasses of the highest quality.
  • As an integral member of our team, you understand the importance of customer service and possess the natural ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner at all times.
  • You possess a high degree of organizational skills and can be trusted to work independently.
  • Experience in optical dispensing is a bonus but not necessary. A friendly customer focused approach is mandatory. On the job training will be provided for motivated applicants.

About the role

  • We are looking for a Retail / Optical Assistant to join our team on a full time basis.
  • The job requires someone with excellent communication skills, a positive friendly nature, professional presentation, and a strong focus on customer care. The right candidate will be someone who is willing to learn and follow directions, and someone who has an interest in the fashion side of glasses.
  • Optical training will be provided to the right candidate.
  • The role involves general customer service duties, reception duties, frame selection and lens recommendations, following up on orders, processing payments by Hicaps / Eftpos terminal, financial housekeeping and general clerical duties.
