Treescape is seeking a dedicated and proactive SHEQ Advisor to provide continuous mentoring and support across Treescape operations, with a strong focus on our Safety Management System and SHEQ database targets. This is an opportunity to make a real impact on the health, safety, environment, and quality (SHEQ) culture of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, maintain, and develop SHEQ policies, standards, and SWMS in collaboration with department heads.
  • Oversee uniform reporting and handling of non-conformances.
  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to Environmental, Quality, Health, and Safety Policies and Standards.
  • Manage WorkCover claims and return-to-work processes.
  • Assist sites with hazard identification, operational risk assessments, SWMS, and SOPs.
  • Manage the SHEQ database (Vault) to ensure compliance with company policies and statutory obligations.
  • Support divisions in investigations, root cause analysis (ICAM), and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure emergency plans and procedures are compliant and tested.
  • Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety Legislation, Australian Standards, and Industry Codes of Practice.
  • Conduct site visits to develop health, safety, and environmental skills across all employees.
  • Promote WH&S obligations and policies to staff, contractors, and visitors.
  • Drive health and safety improvement initiatives across the company.

Audits

  • Manage and assist with both internal and external audits for Quality, Environmental, and WHS.
  • Recommend and help implement changes to ensure compliance.
  • Report on compliance performance and resolve issues through regular audits.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Provide advice and support on WHS and regulatory issues.
  • Advise management on compliance responsibilities and maintain effective compliance communication programs.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Diploma in Work Health and Safety (WHS) and Quality Auditing preferred, or at least 5 years' experience in WHS and Quality (Cert IV).
  • Audit qualifications in WHS and QA are an advantage.
  • ICAM qualification is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in process improvement and information analysis.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, communication, and report writing skills.
  • Ability to influence and motivate others.
