Viva Music Academy is seeking accomplished and professional piano teachers to join our teaching team. We are a high-performing studio with over 100 students and are looking for educators who will uphold our standards of excellence and professionalism, and grow with us long-term.

We are especially seeking teachers who can take on high-demand weekend lessons (Saturday or Sunday) and build a consistent caseload.

Requirements

• AMEB or ABRSM teaching experience
• AMusA or LMusA qualification (minimum)
• Bachelor of Music or equivalent from a recognised university (Sydney Conservatorium graduates highly regarded)
• Australian citizen or permanent resident
• Experience teaching piano to students of all ages and levels
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students and parents
• Punctual, organised, and dependable — consistently arrive early and prepared
• Professional dress code suitable for a studio teaching environment
• Available for weekend block shifts (Saturday or Sunday) and/or weekday afternoons from 3pm
• Committed to a long-term role contributing to the growth of the studio
• Open to early-career teachers who are motivated, coachable, and committed to professional growth

Responsibilities

• Teach private piano lessons to students of various ages and levels
• Prepare students for AMEB/ABRSM exams, studio concerts, and eisteddfods
• Assist with the organisation and running of student concerts and events
• Submit one short (15–30 second) lesson clip per week to showcase student progress for Viva's social media
• Communicate effectively with parents and admin staff regarding student progress
