At AACo, we're reimagining agriculture to share with the world. Our People & Culture team is central to this purpose, partnering with leaders and teams across our operations to create a safe, inclusive, and high-performing workplace.
We're looking for a Human Resources Advisor who thrives on building relationships and delivering practical HR support where it counts – in the field. This role is not desk-bound. You'll spend significant time on stations, travelling extensively across our pastoral operations to connect with leaders and team members, embed People & Culture initiatives, and provide hands-on support.
Who we are:
The Australian Agricultural Company (AACo) is Australia's largest integrated cattle and beef producer, specialising in grass-fed, grain-fed, and Wagyu beef production. Established back in 1824, we've been doing this a while – in fact, we're Australia's oldest continuously operating company. We've had plenty of time to figure out how to be the best workplace we can be, with all the support, training, and opportunity you need to shape your career how you want to. We're dedicated to acknowledging our history even as we look to sustainably feed the future – and we'd love you to join us.
What you'll do
- Be a trusted advisor across all stages of the employee lifecycle – onboarding, performance, engagement, and offboarding.
- Support leaders with employee relations matters, including investigations and performance conversations.
- Partner with our Safety team to drive cultural and behavioural change initiatives.
- Maintain HR systems and processes, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Deliver onboarding presentations and engagement activities for local and international employees.
What makes this role unique
- Extensive travel: Expect to be on-site for at least one week per month (often more), building strong relationships and understanding the realities of station life.
- Impact on the ground: Your presence and support will directly influence engagement, culture, and operational success.
What we're looking for
- Prior HR generalist experience (3+ years), ideally supporting remote or operational teams.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret enterprise agreements and navigate employment relations issues.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset aligned with our values: Be Curious, Be Generous, Own Your Impact.
Why AACo?
- Blaze your trail and make your mark in a role that combines HR expertise with real-world impact.
- Be part of a company that values community, history, and the future of Australian agriculture.
Ready to take HR beyond the office? Apply now, we'd love to have you as part of our team.
