We are seeking an experienced
Human Resources Business Partner
with strong operational HR skills and
Employee Relations (ER)
capabilities to join our growing HR team, based in
Silverwater, NSW
.
This is a critical business-facing role supporting leaders across the organisation. You'll act as a trusted advisor, ensuring best-practice HR delivery while leading and supporting a broad range of ER matters including workplace investigations, strategic support, enterprise bargaining, and policy development.

What You Will Be Doing
HR Business Partnering
- Partner with managers and senior leaders to deliver HR solutions aligned with business needs
- Support organisational development, workforce planning, and performance management initiatives
- Lead recruitment for senior roles and provide input into remuneration and benchmarking decisions
- Contribute to employee engagement, talent development, and succession planning strategies
- Assist with the delivery of HR projects, including change initiatives and policy reviews
- Supporting Newcastle and other NSW based locations.
Employee Relations
- Provide expert guidance on ER matters, award and agreement interpretation, and workplace policies.
- Support or lead enterprise agreement negotiations and union consultations.
- Manage complex workplace investigations, grievances, and disciplinary processes.
- Proactively identify and manage ER risks, recommending effective solutions.
- Coach and upskill managers in ER processes and best practices.
What You Need
- Proven HR Business Partnering experience, ideally within a matrix environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Australian employment legislation, and ER frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience in managing operational Human Resources and employee relations activity.
- Experience conducting workplace investigations and managing sensitive employee issues.
Your Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Law, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline.
- Confident communicator with strong influencing and relationship-building skills.
- Resilient and adaptable with a proactive and solution-focused mindset.
- Able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on operational support.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
