IronMerge People are currently recruiting qualified Chefs for the Western Australian mining & resource sector for FIFO roles from Perth Airport. These are casual roles with ongoing work throughout 2025 and into
What's on Offer :
- Base Rates of $ $46.50 per hour with uplift for night shift hours and public holiday rates
- Immediate starts once onboarding is completed
- Flights from Perth only- interstate & overseas applications will not be considered for these roles
- Casual work with ongoing rosters potentially available
- Weekly pay – every Thursday
Key responsibilities:
- Bulk Cooking for Breakfast, Crib, Dinner, Desserts or Baking on the mine sites of 100 up to 2000 pax
- Food preparation including using your strong knife skills
- Batch cooking for some sites
- Grill section and carvery if required
- Food safety and temperature control
- Maintenance of working conditions and stores
The Successful Applicant Will Require:
- Minimum 3-6 months proven Australian Commercial kitchen Experience
- Proven experience cooking for large functions, events or bulk cooking
- Experienced with high volume cooking roles such as – Cruise Ships, Major Events & Stadiums, Defence, Hospitals, Large Aged Care Facilities, Large Hospitality Venues
- Minimum Australian Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery
- Acceptable overseas qualifications - NZQA Level 3 & above or City & Guilds Level 3 and above
- Ability to complete a full pre-employment medical and Drug and Alcohol assessments
- Full working rights in Australia for a minimum of 6 months
- Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check {Police Clearance} less than 3 months old or willing to obtain one
