The lyf Elizabeth Melbourne, managed by The Ascott Limited,now seeks an enthusiastic and dedicated person to join as F&B Attendant and Restaurant Supervisors.  These roles will report to the Food & Beverage Manager and work closely with other departments. lyf Elizabeth Melbourne is set to open its doors in December 2025.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Operational Leadership: Assist the Food & Beverage Manager in the daily running of the restaurant, oversee rosters, and lead shifts to ensure smooth operations across restaurant, bar, and room service.
• Team Supervision: Lead the F&B team on the floor, conduct handovers and pre-service briefings, allocate sections, and delegate responsibilities to maintain efficiency and service standards.
• Guest Experience: Deliver and uphold the highest levels of guest service, handle complaints promptly, encourage feedback, and ensure VIP and special requirements are met.
• Compliance & Financial Control: Oversee billing and payment procedures, manage COGS and wastage to budget, and ensure compliance with RSA legislation and liquor licensing requirements.
• Training & Communication: Support team training on menus, wine lists, and service standards, monitor performance, and communicate key updates, feedback, and improvement opportunities to management.

To be successful in this role you must have:

• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to supervise, motivate, and lead teams effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Customer Service Excellence: Strong commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences, with the ability to manage complaints professionally and positively.
• Financial & Compliance Knowledge: Solid understanding of billing procedures, stock control, wastage management, and up-to-date RSA certification with knowledge of liquor laws.
• Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Clear and confident communicator with both guests and team members, capable of conducting briefings, handovers, and providing feedback constructively.
• Attention to Detail & Organisation: High level of organisation with the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain service standards, and ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance at all times.
