About the Team

You'll join our Network Systems Administration team, highly skilled and collaborative group dedicated to building and maintaining secure, high performance network infrastructure that underpins mission-critical software solutions. Our mission is to ensure resilient, compliant, and optimised network environments that support development, deployment, and operational continuity.

We value technical leadership, proactive problem solving, and cross-functional collaboration. Working closely with engineering and cybersecurity teams, you'll help drive innovation in secure network operations as we evolve to support emerging technologies, global delivery, and leadership development.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Network Systems Administrator to take a leading role in securing and optimising the ICT environments that underpin Consunet's software delivery. This senior level position offers the opportunity to influence enterprise wide infrastructure initiatives, mentor team members, and contribute to strategic improvements in secure network operations.

As part of our Network Systems Administration team, you'll work under general direction to design, maintain, and enhance resilient network infrastructure that meets strict performance and compliance standards. You'll collaborate across multi disciplined teams to enable secure operations, automation, and integration, while driving continuous improvement and innovation in a dynamic, security focused environment.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the design and management of secure ICT environments for Consunet and its clients
  • Architect and maintain resilient network and DevSecOps infrastructure
  • Collaborate across engineering and cybersecurity teams to ensure performance and compliance
  • Drive documentation, reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Mentor junior team members and foster knowledge sharing across the team
  • Influence infrastructure strategy and contribute to enterprise-wide initiatives

What You'll Bring

  • Proven experience in senior-level network systems administration, ICT operations, or infrastructure support
  • Strong skills in designing, maintaining, and securing enterprise network environments
  • Ability to troubleshoot, analyse, and optimise system performance and reliability
  • Design, build and support of a variety of virtual infrastructure, Linux servers, network environments and containerisation / orchestration
  • Supporting this infrastructure in DevOps workflows
  • Familiarity or experience with the CNCF product stack
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience mentoring and enabling junior team members
  • Understanding of compliance requirements and secure practices in regulated environments
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance (baseline or higher)
