  • TUESDAYS & THURSDAYS 9-12PM take to appointments mainly, otherwise a bit of cleaning

BRIEF

Female worker to provide a friendly, positive, chatty service for a blind woman who is independent. She requires; shopping, taking to appointments, social outings, some cleaning otherwise if not going out.

  • Assistance with Daily Personal Activities - to enable people with disability needs to live as autonomously as possible - supports are provided by personnel with experience/qualification. You will be providing in home personal care & domestic assistance for our disabled participant. And taking the participant to where they need to go - appointments and/or social activities.

ACTIVELY Listen to client

Occasional personal care - showering, dressing, grooming assistance

Shopping

Meal preparation

Take to appointments as required

Must be of patient and kind disposition

Medication assistance

Transport to and from appointments as needed

Cooking/food preparation

Assistance with day to day living – where possible, capacity building in the participants' life

Support to build independence and personal control

Cleaning from time to time

Varies in accordance with participants needs.

Other duties as required.

REPORTS TO: Support Coordinator

ESSENTIAL: Meet all NDIS reporting requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS: Disability Support Worker – Minimum Cert III in Disability/Individual Care

ESSENTIAL:

Current DHS NDIS Clearance & Working With Children Clearance essential

Current First Aid Certificate & CPR

Current Manual Handling Certificate

Medication Assistance
