The Opportunity

Alta-1 College QLD is growing in response to the increasing need for quality education alternatives for young people who are at-risk of educational disengagement and negative life outcomes. The college delivers a model that has positively impacted the lives of hundreds of young people across the last decade in Queensland. Our vision to see lives changed "one-at-a-time" as well as our mission to "transform communities through justice, knowledge recovery and hope" are the other key drivers that underpin our desire to reach more young people. This season of growth is both exciting and challenging and staff joining the college will need to carry a genuine heart for at-risk young people, a willingness to work closely with others in team and a capacity to navigate change flexibly. While there are dynamic elements to our current season the college operates from a strong base of a decade of operation and has a consistent, passionate and community-minded staff team.
