The Role
Suitable applicants will ideally be passionate, motivated and skilled educators who are committed to developing the whole child. They will bring a joy of learning and a collaborative attitude to the classroom. For Early Childhood Education teachers, a strong commitment to play-based learning is desirable, and previous experience in delivering play-based learning in a K to 2 setting will be highly regarded.

It is highly desirable that applicants are committed to developing positive relationships with students, parents, staff and the wider community. Experience teaching with the Sounds-Write program is also highly desirable. Applicants should have a solid capacity to plan challenging, differentiated and engaging programs for multi-age groups using an excellent understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum.

We are seeking applicants who are dedicated, innovative and possess high quality teaching skills and knowledge. They will ideally be committed to ongoing professional growth and development, support current whole school processes and be collegial, effective collaborators.

Major focus projects for the year include building curriculum around respectful relationships as part of the Action Respect initiative and working with local cluster schools to develop a knowledge-rich, coherently sequenced local guaranteed and viable curriculum for the Fitzgerald Cluster. There are opportunities to be involved in curriculum development, so skills and experience in this area would be highly regarded.
