We are seeking a qualified and experienced Health & Safety Officer to join our Melbourne team. This is a permanent, full‑time role where you will play a key part in driving a proactive safety culture across the business.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide specialist advice and support on health and safety matters.
  • Partner with operational leaders to ensure compliance with OHS legislation, standards, and company policies.
  • Lead workplace risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations, recommending practical solutions.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor safety initiatives and training programs.
  • Build strong relationships with employees, managers, and safety committees to encourage engagement and accountability in safety practices.
  • Contribute to injury prevention strategies and continuous improvement across sites.

To be successful, you will have:

  • A relevant qualification in Health & Safety (Cert IV or Diploma minimum).
  • Proven experience in a Health & Safety Advisory or similar role, preferably within manufacturing, engineering, or a similar high‑risk industry.
  • Strong knowledge of OHS legislation and best practice.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to positively engage teams at all levels.
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities and the confidence to drive outcomes in a busy and dynamic environment.
