Draftsperson

ZAC Homes, a respected Western Sydney residential builder with over 30 years of experience, is looking for a Revit Draftsperson to join our growing team. We specialise in everything from budget-conscious homes and duplexes to award-winning custom designs, offering you the chance to work on a diverse range of projects.

As a Draftsperson at ZAC Homes, you will be responsible for:

• Preparing sketch plans and site plans from sales documentation for tender quotations.
• Developing and finalising detailed drawings for CDC, DA, and CC submissions using Revit, in line with BCA, NCC, Australian Standards, and ZAC Homes' drafting conventions.
• Preparing and collating BASIX, Statement of Environmental Effects, and supporting documentation for approval.
• Liaising with councils, certifiers, engineers, and surveyors to ensure compliance and buildability.
• Reviewing site data, surveys, and soil reports to integrate solutions into designs.
• Preparing detailed construction documentation, including specifications, schedules, and notes for contractors.
• Undertaking quality assurance checks of drawings, details, and documentation.
• Assisting with the development and maintenance of ZAC Homes' master design library and construction details.

To be successful, you will have:

• Minimum 2 years' Revit drafting experience (essential).
• Knowledge of the NCC, BCA, CDC, and Sydney Council DCPs.
• A qualification in Residential Drafting, Building Design, or a related field.
• High attention to detail
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work both autonomously and within a team.
• Experience working in a high-volume drafting environment. Preferred, but not essential.
• Australian work rights are required for this position.
