The Role

We are seeking a high-calibre Finance Business Partner based in Melbourne to lead commercial finance activities across our UK, Europe & North America markets, including reporting, demand planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of financial results. This role will work closely with sales, marketing, and operations in these locations and will be responsible for providing strategic financial support to senior management on these important growth markets.

The role has influence across the UK / Europe & North America P&L to provide financial insight and trend analysis reporting on business performance to all relevant stakeholders, whilst aiding in the design and implementation of strategic initiatives to address opportunities or risks. It will also provide insights to the business to shape new product development and rationalisation, whilst also maintaining and evaluating marketing spend. It will work closely with Demand Planning to ensure accurate sales forecasts, a key input into production planning, inventory management and financial sales & margin forecasts.

Given the scope of this role, it will require some flexibility to work across multiple international timezones, and maintaining connection with the central finance team that are spread between our Fermentary in Dandenong South and our commercial office in Cremorne. It offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of commercial and inventory processes in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing month-end processes to meet corporate deadlines, including reconciliations for rebates / trade spend, DME, inventory and other accounts as required.
• Assisting in the preparation of management accounts for senior stakeholders.
• Leading budgeting and forecasting activities, including detailed variance analysis and reporting for revenue, cost of sales, and other direct costs.
• Preparing and presenting reporting on financial status for monthly, quarterly, and annual meetings. Lead the preparation of management accounts & information for board packs to senior stakeholders.
• Lead analysis to support strategic decision making for UK / Europe & North America

• Leading trade spend management across multiple markets and systems by partnering with sales to ensure trade spend tracks to expectations and by owning monthly accrual process

• Work cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Marketing and Finance to gather information to contribute to financial analysis of company performance including

• demand planning process, leading to validation of sales forecast, flowing onto production planning and procurement

• supporting new product development and product deletion projects.

• Take ownership of trading updates, utilising knowledge from pre demand meetings plus review of despatch/open orders to accurately forecast monthly outcomes

• Identify and lead initiatives to address areas of risk or opportunity, whilst also maintaining ongoing list of R&Os feeding into various performance scenarios
