Operating in several countries throughout the world, this opportunity as a qualified and experienced Production Superintendent will see you in the Australian operation working at the Commodore Mine in Millmerran, Queensland.
EPSA is seeking a Production Superintendent to be employed by the company on a full-time permanent basis working a 8/6 roster, providing the Production team with effective leadership, planning and resources to achieve operational targets.
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will:
Ensure effective resource allocation (such as people, equipment, and resources) to achieve production targets and schedules.
Define performance expectations for production personnel and monitor performance.
Communicate objectives (ongoing and improvement), measures, and targets for people, monitor performance against expectations, and take action through training, coaching and other development activities.
Track production performance (through supervisors and leading hands) and ensure operational issues are managed and communicated in a timely manner.
Review performance at the project (in terms of production targets achieved) and ensure remedial or preventative action is taken as necessary.
Ensure compliance with the requirements of the site Project Management Plan.
Demonstrate and provide effective leadership for the project team to enable the successful implementation and maintenance of safe systems of work for the project.
Ensure line managers demonstrate effective leadership through engagement with all employees as well as maintaining safe systems of work.
Maintain focus on operational performance.
Ensure compliance with the Project QA requirements.
To be successful you will have:
A minimum of 10 years' relevant industry experience.
Demonstrated positive safety leadership skills and safety behaviour.
Effective people management and development experience and skills.
Strong organisational, communication and planning skills.
Demonstrated positive safety leadership skills and safety behaviour.
Experience working for a medium to large mine operator/contractor.
Experience in multiple mining facets, (Pre-strip, Dragline, Coal Mining, and auxiliary tasks)
