Native Mineral Resources (NMR) is a publicly listed minerals exploration company with a portfolio of precious metal and base metal properties in pedigree Australian settings.

NMR operates the Far Fanning Gold Mine and Blackjack Processing Plant, based in the Charters Towers region of Northern Queensland as part of a new and exciting transformational acquisition. These acquisitions provide the immediate core with extensive exploration potential, several additional projects within NMR's portfolio are currently being prioritised also offer significant upside through resource growth opportunities.

What You'll Do

• Develop short-, medium-, and long-term mine designs and schedules.
• Optimise pit designs, haulage routes, and production sequencing.
• Conduct pit optimisation using mine planning software (e.g., Whittle, Deswik, Vulcan, Surpac).
• Prepare rolling forecasts, budgets, and production schedules.
• Analyse drill and blast designs for fragmentation, dilution, and cost efficiency.
• Monitor and reconcile ore and waste movement against mine plans.
• Perform geotechnical and slope stability assessments in collaboration with geotechnical engineers.
• Conduct haulage and fleet simulations to improve productivity.
• Generate reports on production variances, recovery, and performance metrics.
• Ensure mine designs comply with statutory, environmental, and safety regulations.
• Support grade control by integrating geological models into mine planning.
• Collaborate with processing teams to align mining output with plant requirements.

What You Bring

• Degree in Mining Engineering (or related field)
• Experience in open pit gold operations (underground exposure an advantage)
• Proficiency with mine design and scheduling software
• Strong understanding of mine safety protocols, production planning, and drill/blast methodology
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Problem-solving mindset with a focus on proactive, safe, and efficient outcomes
