We are hiring an educator for our outside of school hours care for a minimum of three afternoons per week in Mount Druitt. Our vision is to provide children and young people with the building blocks for life through their time with us.
About the Role
We are hiring a part time educator to support and work in our service in Mount Druitt for a minimum of 12 hours per week.
In Outside School Hours Care, each day is varied and brings many teaching moments, and we are looking for experienced and skilled individuals who can support children in their learning and growth.
Duties each day include actively supervising and engaging with children, cleaning, documentation such as observations and programming and food preparation. In your role, you will be working with children and families along with other educators and will report to the Service Coordinator.
If you are a proactive person with a passion and skill for educating and teaching children, take pride and ownership in your contribution, have excellent attention to detail and want to be part of a growing organisation this could be your next long-term role.
Requirements
-Working with Children's Check
-Rights to work in Australia
-Experience working with children aged 4-13 years old
-Food Handlers Basic Training
Preferred qualifications/training
-working towards an early childhood or teaching qualification (cert 3, diploma or bachelor)
-first aid/ CPR/ asthma/ anaphylaxis
-child protection training
